One of my husband’s favorite meals is Beans and Cornbread. I have always found it easiest to cook the beans in the crock pot, then I don’t have to worry about anything else other than making the cornbread at some point in the day.
These beans are flavorful as they are, but if you are thinking of having these as a main dish…you may want to mix some meat, like some chopped-up ham, to make them a bit more filling. The best part is, these beans are flexible and pretty simple to experiment with.
Just try to watch the amount of sodium you add to them. (If you’re trying to stay healthy and eat clean)
